Tilty Interface
We re-question the form of a modern workstation and its underlying assumptions. The substrate of the form of the modern computing display and interface is based on a 30-year-old form of mouse-keyboard-display-and-television monitor based learning system. While this form has spawned rich genres of presentations, it has created a separation between people’s hands and eyes.

The tilty display and interface allows users to browse through a large map of Banaras fusing display and interface. Tilting the display causes the image of the map to scroll in the direction of the tilt as though the image was subject to the forces of gravity.

By navigating the tilty table with images of the narrow lanes of Banaras, the cursor representing the shopper can enter the shops to trigger the play back of video imagery, showing the intense process of trading in Banaras’ streets.
