Move
a digital lens upon a mural to detect video clips on one of the
oldest ghats, in Banaras. Dashashwamedha Ghat is the central bathing
ghat of Banaras today. The ghat is named after the "Ten Horse Sacrifices",
a royal ritual performed by the Hindu dynasty in the 2nd Century,
is traced far back to the primal time when Lord Brahma, the Creator,
performed the very same sacrifice for the King of Banaras. By moving
the digital lens of the browser across the surface of the mural,
you can access information about the ritual-space of the ghat, and
catch a glimpse of the city's living spiritual traditions.
