designer, researcher, and musician Ranjit Makkuni is President
of the Sacred World Foundation, an interdisplinary team of
designers, scholars, artists, programmers and scientists trying
to build bridges between traditional and techno cultures.
He has been a leading researcher at the renowned Xerox Palo
Alto Research Center (PARC), is a founding member of the explorers
club of the Ivrea Interaction Design Institute, Italy and
currently heads the Gandhi Multimedia Museum in New Delhi.
Makkuni's recent work "The Crossing Project" focused on futuristic,
mobile, multimedia and wearable technology for an in-depth
presentation of India's intellectual and spiritual tradition.
